RKD archive file, undated, by 2003: "Half-length, the one frontal to the right, the other turned to the left. The oldest with ringlets along the face, the youngest with tight back-combed hair. Similar dresses with square neck; star-shaped medallion pendants."

Sitter: Van Limburg Stirum, Woltera Geertruida

Biography:

Woltera Geertruida van Limburg Stirum (The Hague 1841–1877 Diepenheim). Daughter of Otto Leopold van Limburg Stirum (1801–1879) and his first wife, Aleida Hermanna Christina van der Wijck (1809–1849). Sister of Frederika Augusta (1842–1903), Wigbold Albert Willem (1845–1884), and Hendrik (1847–1902), all of whom also were portrayed by Johnson, and two others. Married Gerrit Johan Constantjin Schimmelpenninck, Lord of Diepenheim (m. 1865).

Biography:

Frederika Augusta van Limburg Stirum (Warmond 1842–1903 The Hague). Daughter of Otto Leopold van Limburg Stirum (1801–1879) and his first wife, Aleida Hermanna Christina van der Wijck (1809–1849); sister of Woltera Geertruida (1841–1877), Wigbold Albert Willem (1845–1884), Hendrik (1847–1902), and two others. Married Willem Lodewijk van Schuylenburch, Lord of Wisch (m. 1868).
